Charli XCX Teases “Famous” Video: Watch
Charli XCX is set to debut a video for “Famous,” off 2014’s Sucker, at this year’s YouTube Music Awards. A new behind-the-scenes clip (premiered March 20) shows that she gets made over, though not as most would expect, with coagulated blood, fake yellowing teeth and hickies.
Once her look is complete, Charli XCX dances before a green screen while wearing high heel sneakers and a dingy cheerleader’s uniform. “She’s giving me a thousand percent,” says director Eric Wareheim. “I’m stoked to make this the No. 1 video on YouTube.”
The YouTube Music Awards airs on March 23 and will also feature new videos by Ed Sheeran, Max Schneider and more. Watch Charli XCX tease her “Famous” video up top, then see a trailer for the YouTube Music Awards below.
