Jess Glynne & Clean Bandit Perform At SXSW 2015: Live Review
When we discovered this year's SXSW lineup, these were the two artists we were most excited to see!

Yesterday (March 21) marked the fifth and final day of SXSW, and it was a bittersweet one. We took it easy for our last romp in Austin, but it was definitely filled with great moments! First up one the list was the SPIN x Axe White Label Collective day party, which included sets from ASTR, John Legend, Lolawolf, James Davis and YG.

ASTR, a NYC-based electronic duo, roused the crowd with their chilling and synth-heavy vibe. Another major moment of the SPIN showcase was YG’s performance, as he transformed the Cheer Up Charlie’s venue into his own Compton backyard. He ran through hits like “My Nigga” and “Who Do You Love” while the audience bopped to every word.

After the SPIN party, we took a break to refuel and grab some food away from the madness on 6th Street. When we gained our energy, we headed to the Neon Gold SXSW showcase at Empire Garage + Control Room. There, we saw killer sets from VÉRITÉ and Alex Winston. The former fed off the crowd’s energy as she performed her melancholic pop tunes, including Idolator favorite — “Weekend.” Winston, who recently moved to New York, managed to work the stage with fire despite feeling under the weather. She gave fans a taste of what’s to come on her debut album with songs like “Careless” and “We Got Nothing.”

While at the showcase, we ran into our friend Emmie Lichtenberg of Slumber Party @ emmieshouse as well as B-Roc of The Knocks and upcoming artist Phoebe Ryan who will be joining the NYC dance duo on tour this May. Look out for our performance galleries from The Knocks and Marina And The Diamonds’ Neon Gold sets soon!

Spending a week in Austin during one of the biggest music festivals was a joyride of an experience! Plans fell through, our knees began to ache from waiting in endless lines and sometimes we missed out on our favorite performers. But in the midst of it all, we met amazing new artists, networked with various people and learned a lot about the industry as whole.

So that’s officially a wrap, Austin. Stay weird! Check out some highlight photos and videos below.
