Deadmau5 Slams Krewella
Deadmau5 claims sexism in dance music doesn't exist and slammed Krewella's op ed.

Krewella (sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf) briefly became TMZ fodder last year when former bandmate Kris Trindl (A.K.A. Rain Man) sued them for $5 million. He alleges they forced him out of the band. The “Alive” hitmakers won that battle, but faced a massive backlash on social media — lead by ever-opinionated DJ/Twitter troll Deadmau5.

The Chicago-bred siblings strike back today (March 23) by dropping their first single as a duo. Produced by Don Gilmore and The Pegboard Nerds, “Somewhere To Run is a suitably fiery club-banger with a slight rock twist. Interestingly, the song arrives a couple of days after Rain Man’s first release since leaving/being thrown out of the band. (They might as well get that mutual promo!)

The 27-year-old teams up with Sirah for “Visionary,” which artfully blends electro-house with drum ‘n bass elements. It’s definitely less commercial than “Somewhere To Run,” but should find love in clubs and on the festival scene. Listen to both singles below and choose your favorite!
