New Find: Jarryd James "Do You Remember"
Produced by Joel Little, Jarryd James' "Do You Remember" is one of 2015's best debuts.

Remember Jess Mills? The British diva behind strikingly beautiful synth-pop anthems “Vultures” and “For My Sins”? Well, she returns today (March 25) with a new single and a new name! The singer/songwriter, who released a string of great singles between 2011 and 2012, has relaunched as Slo and picks up where she left off with “Fortune.”

Produced by Zero 7 mastermind Henry Binns, “Fortune” is another sleek and sophisticated shot of electro-pop. It’s a sparser, sharper sound than we’re used to from Jess but the less-is-more approach showcases her smooth vocals and positions her as an edgier alternative to fellow dance queens Kiesza and Jess Glynne. Slo’s debut is streaming exclusively over at The Fader. Click here to check it out and revisit her older material below.

Jess Mills’ brief but stellar discography:

1. “Vultures”

2. “Live For What I’d Die For”

3. “Pixelated People”

4. “For My Sins”
