Brandon Flowers' 'The Desired Effect'
The pieces of Flowers' new album are steadily coming together!

Brandon Flowers’ video for “Can’t Deny My Love” is as over the top and as beautifully strange as the production on the ’80s-sounding throwback single, and thank god — finally an artist is giving us something different, as far as pop visuals in 2015 go.

The setting looks to be from the pioneer days, and we start out with Brandon’s wife (played by Evan Rachel Wood) pleading with him to stay home. He’s instead compelled to take a nighttime journey by foot into the darkness, where he encounters a bizarre, staff-wielding mystic (Richard Butler of The Psychedelic Furs) under a bridge and a cult who levitates our hero’s wife into the air of the night sky.

Was it all just a dream? Flowers returns home to his village and his wife in the morning, as promised, and begins to realize something is oddly different after his religious trek.

Things are already off to a highly-exciting, creative start with Brandon’s upcoming LP The Desired Effect (out May 18), and we can’t wait to see what else he’s got up his sleeve. Watch the “Can’t Deny My Love” video above, and let us know your thoughts on it below!
