The UK singer talks cracking America, Demi Lovato & singing for Ryan Tedder.

It may be hard to believe, but this summer will mark four years since the untimely death of Amy Winehouse. To commemorate her life, a documentary is set to be released in July. Directed by BAFTA Award-winning Asif Kapadia, the two hour-long project is titled Amy and plans to tell the singer’s story from her early beginnings and beyond.

The documentary features rare interviews of the late powerhouse when she was simply just a rising star who hadn’t yet crossed over to the American market. In the teaser trailer released today (April 2), Winehouse is asked how big she think she will become. Her haunting response? “I don’t. I don’t think I’m gonna be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I would probably go mad.”

Amy is set to be released the UK on July 3; there is no date for other countries as of now. Watch the teaser trailer below, and let us know if you will be watching the documentary in the comments.
