Years & Years: Idolator Interview
We grabbed some time with the trio in Austin, during SXSW.

When we hung out with Years & Years at SXSW last month, frontman Olly Alexander explained the group’s UK chart-topping single “King” this way: “Where you’re feeling rejected but addicted to a slightly toxic relationship, that’s what it’s about. It feels kind of good, but you know it should end.”

The band hit up Late Night With Seth Meyers last night to perform their moody synth jam, in support of their four-track Y & Y EP, and ahead of the summer release of the trio’s debut album Communion (out June 22).

Give the performance a watch up above, and if you like what you hear, grab “King,” one of the more interesting pop singles to come along in 2015, on iTunes.
