Kelly Clarkson has been the center of jokes that make fun of her weight gain, with the recent one coming from notoriously harsh British personality Katie HopkinsNow, the singer is speaking up about the criticism.

The “Heartbeat Song” starlet stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show today (April 3) to tell the daytime host how she feels about it all. “I think what hurts my feelings is that I’ll have a meet-and-greet after the show and a girl who’s bigger than me will be in the meet-and-greet and be like, ‘Wow, if they think you’re big, I must be so fat to them’,” Clarkson stated. “We just are who we are. You are who you are. Whatever size you are — it doesn’t mean you’re going to be like that forever.”

The singer continued, “Sometimes we’re more fit. Like, especially me. I’m such a creative person that I yo-yo. Sometimes I’m more fit and I get into kickboxing hardcore. And then sometimes I don’t and I’m like, ‘I’d rather have wine’.”
