BANKS Performs “Beggin For Thread” On ‘Letterman’: Watch
BANKS had men of muscular physiques pulling at, and surrounding her, in the diva’s “Beggin for Thread” video. When she performed that same Goddess track on Late Show with David Letterman last night (April 3), her stage set-up was just as striking. BANKS sang from inside a chamber of mirrors. Think Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” video — only more claustrophobic.
When David Letterman introduced BANKS’ performance, a few audience members giggled. (“She’s a talented singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, and tonight she’s in a box,” he said.) Once she was finished, though, the Late Show host was in awe of what he had just seen. “That was beautiful! So nice to see you! This here is kaleidoscopic!” he exclaimed, before he accompanied BANKS back into the chamber and shut the door.
