Get to know OMI, one of the newest artists on the rise.

The art of concealing your identity in pop music isn’t exactly a new concept: Just look at Daft Punk! Or Sia! But Big Machine Records mystery artist Who Is Fancy took it a step further with his debut on the pop scene in recent months, refusing to reveal his real name or face…until now.

During his performance of runaway hit “Goodbye” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer-songwriter, who we now know is named Jake Hagood, made his grand appearance in front of the general public. After kicking off with a series of people lip-syncing to the track (much like the song’s accompanying videos), the singer took center stage and carried out the track to the very end.

Whether or not he will continue to hide himself now that he’s made his late night TV debut remains to be seen (or not seen), although he did just post his face on Instagram. “To my loves!! I can not express how grateful I am for all of the positivity and kindness you have all shared with me! My journey started with a goodbye, but please know this is just the beginning,” he wrote.

To my loves!! I can not express how grateful I am for all of the positivity and kindness you have all shared with me! My journey started with a goodbye, but please know this is just the beginning. I can't wait to share the rest of what I have been working on! I'm living proof that if you believe in your dreams anything can happen! Don't ever be afraid to be who you are and always stay true to yourself! Never stop reaching for the impossible! To all of the radio stations playing my song, and all of the fans that have been loving me so well, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! None of this would have happened with out you! I hope to always make yall proud;) Thanks for being a part of my story! Kisses, Fancy
