Here at Idolator, it comes as now surprise that we love the music that arrives from the UK. But our next find is actually not of the dance/house variety! London singer-songwriter Obenewa has recently dropped her new single “He,” and it is a stunner.

The slinky tune takes a sharp turn from the current synth overload, thanks to Obenewa’s bold, slightly seductive vocals that are paired with syrupy and rich production as she sings about a broken relationship.

“He” is released via Kieron McIntosh’s (Plan B, Paloma Faith) new Wunderkind imprint. Produced by Walter Ego, McIntosh and Raffertie, the tune’s release follows slots for Obenewa singing back up for the likes of Rosie Lowe and Plan B.

Take a listen to the track below, and let us know if you’re digging it in the comments!
