Wale takes the Billboard 200 throne this week with his fourth studio release, The Album About Nothing (100,000 units), while just behind him the Furious 7 soundtrack flies up 15 positions to #2, following the movie’s theatrical release last weekend. Likewise, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s Furious 7 collaboration “See You Again” has been the most-downloaded single on iTunes all week.

Furious 7 actually bumps the soundtrack to Fox TV hit Empire out of the #2 position, while the Fifty Shades Of Grey companion album is still hanging out in the Top 10 (this week at #9).

This, of course, all comes a year after the Grammy- and Oscar-winning soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen topped the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks and sold an impressive 4 million copies throughout 2014.

All in all, not a bad time to be in the sync deal business.
