WHEW — this week in music sure has been a busy one! It kicked off with Hilary Duff and Carly Rae Jepsen releasing their new tunes — “Sparks” and “All That,” respectively. One Direction gave their first interview without Zayn Malik, while Rihanna released her politically charged “American Oxygen” video…on TIDAL (duh). Lastly, paparazzi photos surfaced of Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea on set of their “Pretty Girls” video!

As for us at the Idolator HQ, we chatted with George Maple, Rachel Brown, LunchMoney LewisOMI, Shayne Ward with Mike Stock and Kat DeLuna! We also dissected Madonna’s “Ghosttown” music video, as well as launch another polarizing Ibrawlator for the best album of the winter season! Click here to show your faves some love.

And of course, our readers spoke their minds on the going-ons in the frantic music world. Read some of the best and shadiest comments below!

:: Sherry showed her true fandom on Adam Lambert Shares Another Snippet Of Comeback Single “Ghost Town”: Listen “This new snippet with Adam’s voice is very unexpected but is just what his fans need right now. I think there will be at least one more coming in next 10 days. I’ve watched it 20+ times so I’m almost non-functioning.”

:: biscuit gathered the receipts on Madonna Adds ‘Rebel Heart’ EP Of Super Deluxe Edition Songs To iTunes: “It seems to be a desperation to gain sales, keep releasing album with more tracks etc. Lets just face it the album is a huge flop. four weeks and sales are under 200,000. Madonna she maybe send the tracks to Pat Lenard and she if he can work his magic. My personal favorite album is True Blue, and Bedtime story. i think Rebel Heart is her worst album ever. Not sure how ticket sales are world wide for the tour, but there are many seats that are not filled in the states, Atlanta Ga has a half venue thats empty, thats un heard of for Madonna past tours,. The it seems the tour will be mainly songs from the rebel heart and less than 5 for oldies. Madonna could make a come back if she lands the right producers. Lets be realistic the decade 00 has not been kind to Madge.”

:: rmckie713 is OVER it on Brandon Flowers Teases 20 Seconds Of New Song “Still Want You”: Listen To A Preview: “How man dam clips of the next single are we going to get.”

:: JD15222 hopes for a better Xtina era on Christina Aguilera Announces New Songs “The Real Thing” And “Shotgun”: “I really love her but she hasn’t written good music lately. Her voice is best suited for the older style/soulful music. Back to Basics and the Burlesque soundtrack are awesome. I don’t like her doing the pop/dance stuff like her last two records….although Stripped was very good to.”

:: We think almost everyone will agree with Mike Nied on Jennifer Lopez Doesn’t Know What TIDAL Is And (Apparently) Doesn’t Care: Watch Her Throw Flawless Shade: I love this subtle shade… I think its kind of telling that so many artists are publicly voicing their disinterest in the idea. This is the third fairly large artist in less than a week. I would be interested in hearing Jay-Z or one of the other owners reply to their feedback.

On a related note, have there been any smaller artists who have backed the service that I may be unaware of? I am interested in why none of them have had anything to say about it yet (that I have heard of at least).

:: Thomas Alex Dugrosprez reflects on Nicole Scherzinger’s career moves on Nicole Scherzinger Heads Back To America, Says She’s “Done” With UK At The Moment: “Big Fat Lie” is the worst promo scenario that could have happen to her. And it’s a shame cause they were some above-average songs on it.”

:: He also proved he’s quite observant on Britney Spears And Iggy Azalea Drive A Jeep On The Set Of Their “Pretty Girls” Video: 7 Pics: “Can we discuss the convenient Starbucks Coffee near her set?”

:: Elveryska dragged our wigs on Pop Perspective: Madonna’s “Ghosttown” Video Reviewed By All Four Idolator Editors: “The video is amazing, Who is Mike Wass? I’d like to see his video…wait… yeah haha. Anyway, this video is amazing. The power of simplicity. It has story and message for all what else we need? Why would you even think about any effing housewife. Take of your head out of your rear end.”

:: Sha’Ron & Mariah couldn’t contain the excitement on The Internet Is Convinced That Mariah Carey’s New Single Is Called “Infinity”: “Omg!!!! I can’t wait the Queen is back, she’s about go in. New album, new team, new movie and healthy and wealthy then ever before. I can’t wait #L4L #Infinity ❤”

:: Steve Kirk kept it real on Marina And The Diamonds Is Suspicious Of Artists That Pander To Gay Fans: “pandering to the gay community for financial gain/stardom is offensive” Nick Jonas step forward.

:: Lastly, Florence McPartland summed up all of our thoughts on Lady Gaga Tweets As Jo Calderone: Possible New Song Lyric?: “yaaaaaaaaassss gaga yaaaaaaaaaassssss”
