Coachella 2015: Peking Duk Turn The Sahara Tent Into A Dance Party (10 Pics)
While Australian electro-producers Peking Duk are still under the radar stateside, they have already landed two top 10 hits at home and built a fiercely loyal live following. After watching the duo’s Coachella debut today (April 10), you can’t help but think that it’s only a matter of time before the same happens here. Reuben Styles and Adam Hyde don’t so much perform a DJ set as throw a party.
The Sahara tent was heaving by the end of the first song and shit just got crazier from there. Loud-and-proud Aussies waved flags and indulged in a little crowd surfing, while the duo made plenty of new fans with killer remixes (Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love”) and quirky snippets (The Mamas & The Papas’ “California Dreamin'”). Not to mention their own hits “High” and “Take Me Over.” The latter was ably performed by SAFIA’s Ben Woolner.
