While things are currently quiet on the music front for Pink following the double-Platinum success of her 2012 album The Truth About Love, the singer stepped out this past Saturday (April 11) with husband Carey Hart to attend the 30th Annual John Wayne Odyssey Ball at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. (Flip through pics of Pink and Carey on the red carpet above.)

Apparently once photos from the event hit the Internet, some social media users began to comment on what they perceived to be Pink’s weight gain. It was enough to prompt the singer to tweet several times in response to the supposed criticism on Sunday.

“I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight,” Pink began in a paragraph-long statement posted to Twitter, before explaining that she attended Saturday’s cancer charity event to support her friend Dr. Maggie DiNome.

The singer continued, “…unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to you. While I admit that dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful. So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either…”
