Christina Aguilera Goes Country: Listen To “The Real Thing” From ABC’s ‘Nashville’
We’re used to Christina Aguilera, a.k.a. “The Voice Of Our Generation,” belting out powerful tunes that are tinged with pop and soul — but this time the songstress is trying out a new genre!
Her latest song, titled “The Real Thing,” is from an upcoming episode of ABC’s Nashville — which the diva previously teased last week. Now the full version has surfaced today (April 14), and Xtina totally rocks it! It is a rumbling midtempo that starts off with a bluesy melody before exploding into a full-on country vibe, with the “Let There Be Love” chanteuse’s vocals at the forefront.
Along with the new song, the singer will make her television debut on Nashville tomorrow night (April 15) when her episode arc kicks off. “The Real Thing,” as well as “Shotgun,” are set to be officially released via iTunes on April 21.
