You might have dressed as Madonna one Halloween. Maybe someone told you that Lady Gaga for some fun fan meet-up. But for some people, impersonating their favorite pop stars and celebrities is their full-time job.

In the upcoming film Just About Famous (out April 21) directed by Jason Kovacsev and Matt Mamula, impersonators for acts like Madge, Gaga, Elvis Presley, KISS and even President Barack Obama come together to tell their unique (or, perhaps more accurately, not so unique?) story.

The film will focus on the day-to-day lives of professional celebrity lookalikes, and the way in which they use their appearances to make a living — from entertaining crowds to running for political office — all leading up to the Sunburst Convention For Celebrity Tribute Artists. Ahead of the film’s release, we’re bringing you a first look at a scene from the film starring the film’s Madonna impersonator, Chris America.

Watch as “Madonna” tells us about the convention, meets “Stevie Nicks” (WE WISH!), discusses Madonna’s fame and — controversially! — talks passing the fame torch to Lady Gaga. It’s jarring to see some our favorite pop stars casually chatting it up! Err, almost anyway.

The film will be available on iTunes, Google Play, VUDU and on beginning on April 21.
