Bibi Bourelly Addresses Plagiarism Claims
Bibi addresses claims that Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money" is a rip off.

Bibi Bourelly makes the leap from hit songwriter to buzz artist with new single “Riot.” Until now, the 20-year-old is probably best-known for co-writing Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money.” (She also penned the R8 diva’s unreleased anthem “Higher”). That single came under fire for similarities with another artist’s work — read Bibi’s response to plagiarism claims here — but the ensuing controversy has only raised her profile.

“If I leave, I’m not leaving in silence,” Bibi sings defiantly on debut single. “You won’t see me crying, you gon’ see the fire in my eyes.” That leads us to the chorus: “If I go, Imma start a riot.” It’s an auspicious start for the Berlin-raised diva. Her voice is seductively gravelly and the song packs a powerful emotional punch. In short, it’s a lot better than the track she wrote for Rihanna and hints at great things to come.
