When Zayn Malik announced his not-so-surprising departure from One Direction last month, many artists weighed in on the situation. The latest pop star to share his comments is Joe Jonas. He spoke with Hollywood Life about the events.

“You know I think it is more for the audience than the actual band. We are all human and we are going through so many twists and turns,” the middle JoBro (who could relate to a boy band breakup himself) stated.

Jonas continued, “You know I think it is more for the audience than the actual band. We are all human and we are going through so many twists and turns. Look, I went through it myself and Nick [Jonas], my brother, tweeted the other day that sometimes you have to go through some tough decisions to find true happiness and I stick behind him on that.”

Along with Joe Jonas, fellow pop artists like his younger brother Nick and Ed Sheeran have shared their thoughts on Malik’s decision to leave One Direction. The boy band recently posted a new promo photo sans their former member and they plan to release their fifth album this year, so it seems like they’re doing just fine.
