The 2015 ACM Awards took place yesterday (April 19) in the city of country music — Nashville, TN! Sure, there were big moments like Luke Bryan winning Entertainer Of The Year and Miranda Lambert taking home four awards. But the highlights actually came from non-country stars!

Christina Aguilera, who is trying her hand at the genre thanks to her guest spot on Nashville, took the stage with Rascal Flatts to perform “Shotgun” and the band’s own “Riot.” The diva will sing “Shotgun” as Jade St. John again later this week on the ABC show. Nick Jonas also performed at the 50th annual awards ceremony, as he entertained the audience with “Jealous” and “Chains” alongside country duo Dan + Shay.

But one of the more memorable moments of the night came courtesy of Taylor Swift’s mother Andrea, who is battling cancer. She presented her daughter with the Milestone Award and stated in her speech:

“I’ve watched this milestone artist since she was a tangled-haired little girl growing up on our farm, full of imagination and creativity, until right now, as she prepares for her next world tour. And ever since then, her favorite thing in the world to do has been to write a song, tell a story, play a guitar or a piano. And I’ve seen those things carry her through every emotion, every experience in her life — good or bad.”
