Leona Lewis Signs To Def Jam
Things are finally coming together for Leona Lewis. She just with Def Jam Records in the US.

Earlier today (April 20) Calvin Harris quoted a tweet about Rihanna’s 2011 chart-topper “We Found Love,” which he wrote and produced, with the following comment: “Wouldn’t have been a hit if anyone else had sung it tho.” On the surface, it seems the Scottish DJ is simply complimenting Rih — but Leona Lewis’ fan base sensed shade. After all, the Brit famously recorded the mega-hit first.

“They’re very different because she sings it dead softly, you know, how Leona sings,” Calvin said at the time. “It’s more like an X Factor ballad.” Actually, in retrospect, that sounds a little shady too. But I doubt the “Bleeding Love” songbird will loose too much sleep over it. After all, she just signed a new record deal with Def Jam and is gearing up to release fifth LP I Am. See the suspect tweet below.
