Christian Burghardt Makes A Great First Impression With “Safe Place To Land”: Watch The Video
Christian Burghardt joins Dr. Luke’s growing stable of hitmakers (Becky G, G.R.L. and LunchMoney Lewis) at Kemosabe Records. The singer/songwriter dropped his debut EP Safe Place To Land in September 2014, but only got around to releasing a video for the title track this week. You have to wonder what caused the hold up because summery guitar-pop anthems don’t come much better than this.
The visual itself is pretty straightforward. Christian strums his guitar on the beach and hangs out with female pro-surfers Quincy Davis and Bruna Schmitz. There’s a little flirting and a lot of close-ups of the crooner’s freckled face. It’s a nice introduction to an artist that seems destined to share the same radio niche as Gavin DeGraw and Jason Mraz. Watch “Safe Place To Land” up top.
