Zayn Malik Selfie Sets A Retweet Record

We’ve already extolled the virtues of Zayn Malik’s handsome looks and fit body — oh, and his singing talent, too. Of course. And now the country of India has basically backed up our enthusiasm for the former One Direction member.

On April 17, Malik attended the Asian Awards, an annual UK event that celebrates excellence in the arts, business and politics. And while there, the 22 year old posed for a selfie with wildly popular Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Now, keep in mind, Khan isn’t just any old thespian…he’s known as the King Of Bollywood. And after starring in nearly a hundred films, including the acclaimed Swades and My Name Is Khan, it’s not hard to guess why this guy is idolized throughout the world.

At any rate, Khan tweeted his selfie with Zayn to his 12.6 million followers a week ago today, and now the Hollywood Reporter notes that the pic has has crossed 120,000 retweets and has been favorited nearly 170,000 times — thus setting a Twitter record in India.
