Cedric Gervais is known for his club-ready, energy-filled house mixes, but the French DJ/producer has decided to slow things down a bit! Today (April 30), we at Idolator are premiering his acoustic video for the hit tune “Love Again” featuring Ali Tamposi.

The two artists transform the original song’s thumping, house production into a shimmering downtempo that substitutes the heavy synths for featherlight guitar melodies (courtesy of Gervais himself) and orchestral strings. Tamposi’s vocals are now in the forefront of the song, which makes it all the more emotive.

The original version of “Love Again” was released back in October, and is Gervais’ first new music since his platinum-selling (and totally awesome) remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” that ruled the charts for what seemed to be the entire summer.

Gervais has been DJing and producing electronic music since his teens and was the youngest artist to ever play at Paris’ famed nightclub Le Queen. The artist (who is now living in Miami) is having a stellar year so far, as he recently wrapped up two Coachella performances, has a residency at The Marquee in Las Vegas and is currently working on a singe with Swedish starlet Tove Lo.
