Brandon Flowers follows up “Can’t Deny My Love,” “Still Want You” and “Lonely Town” with yet another synth-drenched preview of his upcoming LP The Desired Effect — this time, it’s “I Can Change.” The track features Flowers’ soaring tenor (which careens into a falsetto at various points) and a sample of Bronski Beat’s 1984 gay anthem “Smalltown Boy.”
Gotta say, Brandon is four for four so far with this album, which is giving us a hefty amount of hope that it’ll be sitting nicely on our Best list come December.
