Britney And Iggy's 3D "Pretty Girls" Single Cover
Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea revealed the 3D cover of upcoming collab "Pretty Girls."

UPDATE: The official version of “Pretty Girls” has now been released! Hear the Bay Area hip hop-indebted club banger, with its sparse mix of 808s and Britney’s chants, below.

The journey of “Pretty Girls” from abandoned Little Mix demo to seemingly inevitable summer smash has been documented in painstaking detail. Iggy Azalea has spoken at length about the various stages of the track’s development and revealed the songwriting credits. She also explained the inspiration for the video (’80s cult comedy Earth Girls Are Easy) and sang duet partner Britney Spears’ praises in every interview.

But is “Pretty Girls” any good? A bunch of snippets were recorded during the video shoot (and subsequently surfaced online), but they were too rough to get a handle on the quality of the track. A LQ preview of the studio version arrived today (May 1) and it sounds very promising. Britney serves Blackout-era attitude on the catchy chorus, which includes the lyric: “Pour the drinks, bring the noise — we’re just so pretty!” So far, so good.
