Each Idolator editor gives their thoughts on the ladies' latest single.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ ubiquitous “Uptown Funk” single took over the industry like a firestorm — I mean, spending 2 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard is quite rare in 2015! But the song is not just loved here in the States!

Citzens! have placed their own spin on the funky tune, which we at Idolator are premiering today (May 6). The UK quartet performed “Uptown Funk” at — get this — St. Pancras train station in London!

The boys crammed together on a small piano in the middle of the train station, as surprised passersbys enjoyed their more stripped-down version of Ronson’s single.

Citizens! released their European Soul LP on April 14 via Parisian fashion house/ label Kitsune. The fashion-forward band (lead singer Tom Burke has modeled for Saint Laurent) have recorded with the likes of Franz Ferdinand and 2 Door Cinema Club. The album includes production credit from George Reid of AlunaGeorge, on the recently released single “Waiting For Your Lover.”

Watch the live performance of “Uptown Funk” up top, and let us know in the comments if you enjoyed the band’s take!
