Leona Lewis Interview
We chat with the British singer about Christmas and lobsters, because duh.

Leona Lewis’ first single since 2013 finds her taking a decidedly different direction than the Yuletide chime of “One More Sleep” and dancefloor thump of Avicii collab “Collide.” In fact, here’s “Under My Feet” in a nutshell, musically: add one-third of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” to two-thirds of Emeli Sande’s “Next Too Me,” et voila — you get the old-school piano-soul stomp of this lead single from Lewis’ upcoming fifth studio album I Am (out June 7).

Leona worked with producer Toby Gad on the track, which lyrically comes off  like one big F-U to former label chief Simon Cowell. As for the video, it features folks from various walks of life overcoming their respective hangups and obstacles in life, and the whole thing is just so damn liberating, isn’t it?

Give the video for Leona’s latest a watch above.
