Eva Simons Returns With "This Girl"
Eva Simons and T.I. feature on Stafford Brothers' new club-banger "This Girl." Listen.

Missing the days when Rihanna ruled the airwaves with raucous club-bangers instead of dreary folk collaborations and patriotic ballads? Don’t worry, Eva Simons has got you! The Dutch diva delivers the most RiRi-sounding single (and video) of 2015 with dancehall-infused floorfiller “Policeman.” Sounding like “Rude Boy” remixed by Dj Snake, the wild and woolly club-banger is simultaneously fresh yet familiar.

This isn’t the first time the 31-year-old pop star has veered into Rihanna’s lane. Her still-great 2009 debut single “Silly Boy” was widely mistaken for the Barbadian babe when Kanye West posted an early demo on his blog. Since then she has mostly focussed on club music — lending her voice to dance hits like Will.i.am’s “This Is Love” and Afrojack’s “Take Over Control.” Perhaps, Eva needs to channel her inner-Rih more often because “Policeman” is a killer bop. Watch up top.
