Mariah Carey Cancels Las Vegas Concert Due To Bronchitis
Uh oh — there is already trouble in the water for Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas residency! The “Infinity” diva has cancelled her concert tonight just one week into her string of performances.
The singer revealed the news to her #Lambily on Instagram, with the caption:
“Hey guys. I’ve been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor’s orders. I’m so sorry to cancel tonight’s show but I promise to make it up to you!!!” she added. “Love you always, MC”
Some critics (well, just one notably) have dismissed MC’s Las Vegas residency, so let’s hope the singer recovers in time to dominate the stage at Caesar’s Palace to prove them wrong. The diva is also set to perform at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards this Sunday (May 17) for the first time in 17 years.
