Ryn Weaver talks Coachella, debut album 'The Fool' and breakthrough hit "OctaHate."

Ryn Weaver’s debut single “OctaHate” arrived on a wave of critical acclaim way back in June 2014. Almost a year later, the insidiously-catchy anthem has finally cracked the top 50 on iTunes thanks to serious gains on top 40 radio. That makes now as good a time as any to unveil a new video for the ultimate slow-burn hit. “So I hated my first Octahate video and decided to have a food fight with my best friend instead,” the 22-year-old explained on Twitter.

Directed by Griffin Frazen, the new visual is a distinct improvement on the bizarre original. It taps into the Baroque theme of debut LP The Fool (due June 16) with Ryn and BFF Hayley Kuniansky hanging out in an elegant mansion, before digging in — literally — to a gourmet meal and having an epic food fight. Check out the rising pop star’s tweet below.
