Britney x Iggy's "Pretty Girls" Video
Britney and Iggy head back to the '80s in their amusing alien-themed "Pretty Girls" video.

We’ve finally reached the weekend, Idolator readers! The past few days were filled with major musicmoments, which kicked off with Taylor Swift revealing the never-ending cast members of her upcoming “Bad Blood” music video.

Miley Cyrus got naked again (duh) for magazine, while American Idol announced they will be ending the series next year. Also happening in 2016 is Jennifer Lopez’s Las Vegas residency! Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea also dropped their ’80s-themed video for “Pretty Girls.”

On Idolator’s end, we interviewed the totally awesome HOLYCHILD as well as announced two giveaways — one for a Ciara prize pack and another for some Who Is Fancy merch!

Of course, our readers spoke their minds on the going-ons in the frantic musicworld. Read some of the best and shadiest comments below. (And we are now adding a fun addition to Whatcha Say — your most memorable tweets!)

:: Jay spilled the true tea on Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea’s “Pretty Girls”: 14 Hilariously Bitchy Reader Tweets About The Song: People who say its a terrible song clearly have not listened to “bitch better have my money.” That song is clearly the worst song of the year by a major artist.

:: While Marcus Luar Aolg said: “Ok so I finally heard the song. This shit is garbage! Does Britney even try any more? I us eto love her but I cant support an artist that does not give a fuck about fans or the quality of music. The video is going to suck, Brinteny is going to stnad their like a robot giving you hand choreography and iggy just going to start saying soem jibberish because no one knows what the fuck shes ever saying. So disappointing Britney. Its time to hang up your heels baby. You cant live off your name any more you going to have to start producing some quality shit, didn’t Britney Jean teach you anything????/”

:: Alyssa Gonzalez was not a fan of the New York Times on Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas Residency: 10 Most Scathing Lines From The ‘New York Times’ Opening-Night Review: Jon Caramanica was really mean in the things he said. We get it. You don’t like Mariah Carey and you think she is a fraud. SO WHAT? Mariah Carey has been singing for a very long time. Her voice is bound to go through some changes as she gets older. I am a big fan of Mariah Carey and I used to be upset that her voice was not the same at live concerts, but I realized she is only human. I am glad she is alive and happy with her kids. I am glad she got rid of Nick Cannon. I love her new song Infinity and I honestly feel she can make her 19th #1 if she just puts her heart into it and stops trying to hide her voice. Make a song of how strong you are and how you won’t let these haters bring you down. Make a song about how you will remain a strong mother. C’mon Mariah you can do it!! I miss those beautiful songs you used to make.

:: Thomas Alex Dugrosprez kept it cute on Rita Ora’s New Single Will Debut On UK Radio Next Week: “Don’t fuck it up, Rita.”

:: But he also had this to say on Hilary Duff’s “Sparks” Video Is All About Tinder (What?): Watch: “I was told of a new Hilary Duff video, not a very-elaborated dancing commercial”

:: Connie defended AI on 7 People You Forgot Won ‘American Idol’: “Who wrote this list? You are not as current as you think. Some of these people prefer to do other things than sing. Sometimes you are enough with just a little. This article is rude and lazy on the part of the author. Try following these people on facebook or twitter and see what a difference your next article will read. These winners are all success stories. They may not have the Gaga mega notoriety, but they are making a living doing what they want to do. And in my book that is success.”

:: Luke Palm was not feeling Brit-Brit on Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea Go Totally ’80s In Their “Pretty Girls” Video: Watch: “This video’s “like totally…. like to-ta-lly”… totally stupid. From Brit’s very forced attempts at looking young and girly, to that “I-rest-my-hand-on-my-neck-then-look-back-and-front-and-smile” thing she does in EVERY music video (at 1:57). But she looks very comfortable and happy, and it’s a good thing to see! By the way I love Iggy’s fierceness in her last verse, it’s the Iggy we 2011 fans love. (only thing missing is her #Iggytail)”
