Britney and Iggy head back to the '80s in their amusing alien-themed "Pretty Girls" video.

Tomorrow (May 16) marks the 15th anniversary of Britney Spears’ sophomore album Oops!…I Did It Again, the somewhat underrated follow-up to the singer’s 1999 Baby One More Time. This project found the Princess of Pop coming into her own as she shed her teeny-bop persona and revealed her sexier side.

The biggest highlight of the Oops! era no doubt belongs to the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, a moment that many Britney fans transformed into die-hard stans! The entertainer looked in her element as she basically performed a striptease for the world to see, showing off her sought-after abs and booty.

Brit-Brit’s legendary performance began with her rendition of Rolling Stones’ 1965 “Satisfaction” hit (which appears on her sophomore LP) as she sauntered down a spiral staircase in a black tuxedo-and-fedora combination. But once that “Oops!…I Did It Again” beat dropped, you knew it was about to go down!

The singer ripped off her tuxedo to reveal a then-controversial flesh-colored bodysuit as she danced her ass off to the special remix of the chart-topping tune. At that moment, Britney proved why she was no longer “not that innocent,” and we loved her for it!

Revisit the performance up top, give the LP a spin below and share with us your favorite memory of Britney Spears’ Oops!…I Did It Again album era!
