Beyonce Scrapped An Entire Fela-Inspired Album
The-Dream revealed that Bey recorded and scrapped an entire Fela-inspired LP.

It’s been a busy week for the divas of Destiny’s Child. Beyonce got her politics on — publicly endorsing Hillary Clinton’s run at the presidency by attending a fundraiser in New York City. She confirmed Queen Bey’s support on Twitter, writing: “Say you’ll Bey on Team #Hillary2016 too.” In other news, the 20-time Grammy winner hit the studio earlier this week — so something is in the works.

Beyonce isn’t the only Child of Destiny making headlines. Kelly Rowland signed on to host new BET show Chasing Destiny. The talent show seeks to find the next all-female vocal group. “I’m looking for a great, impactful, culture impacting iconic group,” she said during an interview with ABC News. “We haven’t see it one of those in a while”. Amusingly, the “Kisses Down Low” singer couldn’t resist a humble brag about her own group’s success.

“Destiny’s Child set the bar very high, like En Vogue and TLC set the bar very high,” she said. “We’re still number one, I am very, very proud of that. The fact that we can be away from each other for so long and then comeback like we did for Michelle’s event with the Stellars and we just started to sing it together like it was second nature.” No other girl group has come close to Destiny’s Child’s impact or success, so I’ve see no lies.
