Billboard Music Awards 2015: Full Winners’ List
The 2015 Billboard Music Awards are underway, live from Las Vegas. And look, we know the actual awards themselves are the least significant part of the BBMAs equation — it’s based on chart performance, so it’s not exactly like revealing the name inside the top-secret sealed envelopes at the Oscars. But still, a win is a decent feather in the cap of the artist, or at least more fodder for the winner’s stans to gloat/drag/praise on Twitter.
Sam Smith and Taylor Swift lead the field with 13 nominations each, and Swift’s big night is already underway with one win and the “Bad Blood” video premiere. Iggy Azalea, One Direction, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Drake and many more are up for awards as well — 1D took the night’s first trophy.
