Rita Ora is gearing up for her official debut here in the States, and the UK singer’s first reveal of what’s to come is her new “Poison” single.

A snippet surfaced last week, and today (May 18) Rita has shared the song’s lyric video. The mid-tempo finds the chanteuse reflecting on a love that is no good for her, hence the song’s noxious title. The tone is set with the opening lines (“I could have my beer for breakfast, my sanity for lunch/ Trying to get over how bad I want you so much”) and is amplified by Rita’s soaring vocals and crashing production.

“Poison” is the new single off Rita’s forthcoming sophomore album, which will be the follow-up to 2012’s Ora.
