HOLYCHILD Interview
The duo breaks down Brat Pop for us.

For music nerds of a certain age, the trivia-loaded Pop Up Video series was an indispensable resource. Before the age of Wikipedia and smartphones, if you wanted to impress your friends with facts about your favorite musicians, you had to watch the show. It originally ran from 1996-2002, and now HOLYCHILD is paying homage to the format with their visual for “Money All Around.”

The video features the pair making it rain at a fancy restaurant as info bubbles pop onto the screen (sans iconic sound effect) offering up a mix of actual trivia and HOLYCHILD’s brand of sarcastic social commentary.

The cheeky clip was directed by the duo’s own Liz Nistico. Watch it up top, and be on the lookout for HOLYCHILD’s debut album, The Shape of Brat Pop to Come, on June 2.
