Snoop Dogg's 'Bush': Review
See what we thought of Snoop's R&B exercise.

The big budget music video is not dead! Snoop Dogg got a glossy, high-budget visual for “California Roll,” featuring Pharrell and Stevie Wonder, and it feels like the kind of money-waving sci-fi video you might’ve seen during the heyday of TRL. Fitting for the three icons involved.

Directed by Warren Fu and also co-starring Nia Long, the retro-futurist clip takes place in 1946 Los Angeles, with patrons taking a Star Tours-like ride depicting L.A.’s imagined future consisting of Egyptian-themed Art Deco and flying cars. (It’s kinda like the Bioshock video games meet Daft Punk.)

The ultra-smooth single is off Snoop’s entrée into R&B, Bush. Check out the video up top.
