Katy Perry To "Reinvent" Herself
Katy Perry wants to take some time off after the 'Prismatic' tour and reinvent herself.

It’s time to stop listening to “Unconditionally” on repeat while sobbing into your Killer Queen-scented pillow. Pop’s leading lady could be back in business by the end of the year! Katy Perry’s manager Steven Jensen spilled the beans at a music and entertainment conference in Singapore, saying: “She plans to release her next album by 2016.” Could the follow-up to Prism arrive just in time for Christmas?

While the prospect of new music is tantalizing, the timeline seems a little tight given that Katy’s Prismatic World Tour doesn’t wind up until October. It would also appear to contradict what the 30-year-old said in an interview with AP about her next move. “It’s important for me to maybe start reinventing myself,” she opined. “Because I can’t keep topping myself because I’ll just combust at some point.” Instead, she expressed the desire to “craft songs about real life experiences” after the tour. Surely that will take more than a couple of months?
