We talk to the singer about her debut LP 'Sound Of A Woman'.

When Crystal Waters’ “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)” arrived in 1991, it proved to be a dancefloor smash, going Top 10 not only in the Unites States, but all across Europe. And naturally, as the house music revival continues to maintain a firm grip on today’s pop charts, several acts have taken to adding their own twist on early ’90s dance classics (see both Clean Bandit and Alex Newell’s respective renditions of Robin S’ “Show Me Love,” and Kiesza’s slow-burning take on Haddaway’s “What Is Love.”)

“Gypsy Woman” seemed ripe for a redo, and it’s accomplished DJ Caroline D’Amore and “Somebody” singer Natalie La Rose who step up to the plate with a cover that manages to maintain the house aesthetic of Crystal Waters’ original while still incorporating some 2015 freshness. (Grab it on iTunes.)
