Frank Ocean & James Blake Tour
The two artists announce a joint mini-tour.

Frank Ocean has been tight-lipped about his follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange, and while it’s unclear what we can expect to hear, we do know that he recorded some of it at London’s Abbey Road Studios, Rick Rubin and Diplo are likely involved and that it’s scheduled for a July release in conjunction with some sort of publication called Boys Don’t Cry. Perhaps realizing his fans’ growing sense of anticipation and anxiety was reaching a breaking point, Tuesday night (May 26) Ocean took to Soundcloud to post a new playlist comprising…well, nothing at all.

The singer uploaded a zero-track playlist called “States” to his Soundcloud page. It has since been removed, but Hip Hop N More took a screengrab of it, which you can see below.

Either Ocean is trolling everyone (“Hey do you think if I post literally nothing, it would be covered as news?”), or this is a signal for people to keep an eye on his Souncloud page for new material in the near future. Or it was a tech fuck-up, but that’s no fun.
