MKTO Declare Their Love For “Bad Girls”: Check Out The Duo’s New Single
MKTO are back! After teasing new single “Bad Girls” earlier this month, the hip-hop/pop duo premiered the full song today (May 29) via a sexy lyric video. “Shows up to fill her cup, I know all she wants is just to get my love,” Tony Oller sings over a chunky bassline and horns. “I wish we could be just like Johnny & June, she cut out my heart and left me in the room.” However, that doesn’t stop his craving for a certain kind of lady.
“I love them bad girls doing bad things, lookin’ hot with an attitude,” he croons on the chorus. “Love them bad girls, like a bad dream shouldn’t want them but I do.” Malcolm Kelley then steps in for a slick verse that name checks Donna Summer (ie. the original Bad Girl). In many ways, MKTO’s latest is a beefier, edgier twist on the soulful retro-pop of breakthrough hit “Classic.” Don’t be surprised if it follows that track into the upper reaches of the Billboard Hot 100 before the end of the summer.
