Future Hit: Grace's "You Don't Own Me"
Grace and G-Eazy's "You Don't Own Me" is the coolest cover of the 2015. Take a listen.

It’s only a matter of time before Grace’s debut single “You Don’t Own Me” makes waves in the US. A hip-hop/soul interpretation of Lesley Gore’s 1963 hit featuring Oakland, California rapper G-Eazy, the track raced straight to number one in Australia (her homeland) and nabbed the diva a deal with RCA Records. Amazingly, the track was co-produced by Quincy Jones, who helmed the original version 52 years ago.

The video dropped today (June 1) and it finds the newcomer facing off against G-Eazy in the studio. It’s a simple concept, but it reinforces the message that this particular track is all about the music and the (still very important) message. Want to hear more from Grace? Her debut EP Memo dropped on May 26. Listen to the title track, which the Brisbane-born singer wrote when she was only 16, below.
