Adam Lambert weighs in on Caitlyn Jenner‘s landmark introduction to the world, via her Annie Leibovitz-shot Vanity Fair cover.

With the reveal, Jenner reached 1 million Twitter followers in just four hours. Lambert, who releases his next album The Original High on June 12, credits such an impact for “taking the fear away from the trans movement,” as he tells Billboard.

“The power that Caitlyn has is that she can show and teach everybody what transition is from start to finish,” Lambert says. “I think it’s pretty amazing.”

Jenner’s transition began with her April 25 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, when she was still being addressed as Bruce; ABC’s ratings shot up to a 15-year high with 16.9 million viewers. From there, she reintroduced herself through Vanity Fair‘s tagline: “Call Me Caitlyn.”

“As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free,” Jenner said, in a behind-the-scenes clip. Watch below.
