Jessie J Joins Forces With Jhene Aiko And Rixton For Pop-Tarts Collaboraton “Sorry To Interrupt”: Listen
It’s an interesting time to be Jessie J. Her 2014 LP Sweet Talker failed to connect despite the involvement of A-List producers like Diplo, Max Martin and The-Dream, and she ruffled some feathers by unfollowing “Bang Bang” collaborators Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on Twitter — as well as all of her fans. Nevertheless, the opportunities keep rolling in and she has an international hit on her hands with Pitch Perfect 2 anthem “Flashlight.”
The 27-year-old also joins Jhene Aiko and Rixton on new collab “Sorry To Interrupt.” Produced by DJ Mustard, the track is the soundtrack of Pop-Tarts’ Crazy Good Summer campaign. While the line-up is questionable in theory, Jessie J slips into rhythmic-pop easily and sassily trades verses with Jhene. (Who clearly has bills to pay). The biggest surprise is the British pop/rock band. Frontman Jake Roche more than holds his own against the ladies. Listen to the track below.
