Iggy Azalea Reveals That She Has Scrapped “6 Months Of Work,” Is Starting Sophomore LP From Scratch
Iggy Azalea made a rare appearance on Twitter last night to thank fans for their ongoing support, before tweeting about her pet fish (his name is Timothy) and an upcoming coffee table book. The Aussie femcee also let slip that she has binned her sophomore LP. “I scraped an entire 6 months of work and started totally new,” the “Pretty Girls” diva tweeted. “Its too early to tell yet exactly how things will sound overall, but im not looking to abandon my identity.”
“Im very focused on incorporating some of the sounds i played with on mixtapes,” the 25-year-old continued. “I feel like sonically those songs still reflect a big part of me that got overlooked on my album production and i want to make sure its reflected in my new stuff.” Iggy spent time in the studio with The Arcade (the British duo that produced “Fancy” and “Beg For It”) earlier this year, but it now looks like those songs have been shelved indefinitely.
