A Beginner's Guide To Janet Jackson
Here's everything you need to know about the legendary Miss Janet Jackson.

Among the midst of heavyweight pop stars, we occasionally stumble upon some pretty awesome musical gems from up-and-coming artists! The latest that we are premiering today (June 18) comes courtesy of Rochester, NY indie pop duo Roses & Revolutions, whose new single is simply titled “Echo.”

The track, which is off their forthcoming Torch EP (out on July 14), is a gorgeous and lush mid-tempo ballad that revolves around the feeling of loneliness. The minimal, piano-led production keeps the emotive vocals in the forefront as lead singer Alyssa Coco croons: “This echo, echo in the night/ Stay with me til’ morning light/ Let me know it will be alright when I’m alone.”

Read what band members Coco and Matt Merritt had to say about their tune below:

“‘Echo’ is a song that is very close and personal to us. It’s about feeling the haunting presence of someone after they’re long gone. It addresses the process of trying to be comfortable in solitude. We tried going all out and having massive production, but it didn’t feel right. The song was calling for a more stripped down and intimate feel. Eventually, we brought in a string trio and it added another dimension to the song.”
