Tori Kelly Sings About The One That Got Away In “Should’ve Been Us”: Watch The Fiery Video
After building serious buzz (and a loyal following) with YouTube covers and a pair of well-received EPs, Tori Kelly landed her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year with Max Martin-produced earworm “Nobody Love.” It’s only a matter of time before she repeats that feat with the second single from debut LP Unbreakable Smile given that “Should’ve Been Us” is her catchiest track yet.
“You got yours, I got mine, but I wonder where you are tonight,” the 22-year-old laments before exploding in the monster chorus: “It should’ve been us! Shoulda been a fire, shoulda been the perfect storm.” Tori unveiled the video today (June 22) and it’s a fairly simple affair that juxtaposes direct-to-camera emoting with concert footage. It’s great to hear the rising diva finally getting material worthy of her voice. Watch up top.
