Freckled singer/songwriter Christian Burghardt teams up with Idolator favorite Cady Groves for “Whiskey & Wine” — a serotonin-raising love song with a perky, sing-a-long chorus. “We wanted to truly capture the reality of love,” the “Crying Game” diva reveals. “Real love isn’t the roses, the gifts, the dinners, or the uncomfortable high heels you wear to impress your man.”
“Love, the purest form of it, is lying on the floor-under a pillow fort, drunk off of cheap wine and completely intoxicated by the scent of one another — lost in a moment, lost in each other.” That low-key approach to romance is reflected in the video. “Cady might be the easiest person I’ve ever worked with behind the camera because she’s so carefree and natural about it,” Christian says. “Cady has a presence and charisma on camera that worked really well for the duet.
