Nile Rodgers has been a busy man since linking up with Daft Punk on Random Access Memories in 2013. For his latest high-profile projects, the Chic guitarist and producer is working with country star Keith Urban and millennial multi-hyphenate Cara Delevingne.

“I love [Cara], she’s awesome. I would say she’s a rock chick and a really cool one too,” Rodgers told The Sun. “It’s not helping, it’s collaborating. When she played me her tracks I was shocked, it’s cool.”

The model/singer/actress has long been rumored to be working on a debut album (Pharrell is the big name that usually gets mentioned with it). Add in the fact that she’s friends with Taylor Swift (remember when they sang together?) and dating Annie Clark of St. Vincent, and suddenly the prospects of a Delevingne solo album are pretty exciting.

As for Rodgers’ work with Urban, they’ve completed at least two rough tracks that Rodgers described as “EDM-country,” all in an attempt to modernize the country star’s sound and broaden his appeal.

“His fans may have some kind of problem at first,” Rodgers told Yahoo . “But my biggest records have always been like that. A lot of people, the only record they ever bought by David Bowie was Let’s Dance. That’s at least [seven] million albums — he’d never sold anything near that before…I think a record like this will speak to a broader audience [for Urban], and the country people will come around.”

These new collabs come on the heels of Rodgers’ feature on Duran Duran‘s “Pressure Off,” from the group’s forthcoming album.
